Accidentally gave my brand a full-blown personality. Now it judges my font choices 🙃

Title: How a Simple Logo Sparked a Full Branding Personality—and a Persistent Voice in My Head

Aiming for a straightforward logo, I didn’t expect the project to evolve into a full branding experience—with defined values, a distinctive tone of voice, and even a quirky detail like a favorite ice cream flavor (mint chocolate chip, naturally). What started as a small symbol has grown into a brand personality that feels more complex than some group chats.

The unexpected side effect? Every time I choose a font or craft a caption, I hear an imaginary brand voice offering feedback, as if saying, “We wouldn’t say that.” It’s both amusing and a little unsettling.

Is this normal? Is branding this transformative for creators?

I’d love to hear your “how did I end up here” branding spiral stories too.
